The University of Exeter is a public research university located in Exeter, South West England, United Kingdom. The university was founded in 1955
The university has three campuses: Streatham; St Luke's (both of which are in Exeter); and Tremough in Cornwall. Streatham is the largest campus containing many of the university's administrative buildings, and is regarded as one of the most beautiful in the country.
Exeter has maintained a top ten position in the National Student Survey since the survey was launched in 2005. In 2011, it was considered as being one of the top 12 elite universities in the United Kingdom, and has been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 UK universities in recent years.
Exeter is a member of the Russell Group of leading research-intensive UK universities. The university is also a member of Universities UK, the European University Association, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is an accredited institution of the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
In recent news The University is now ranked 93rd in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, placing it among the very best institutions across the globe. The new ranking marks a significant rise for the University, having leapt from 154th last year, and cements its position as being amongst the top 1 per cent of universities worldwide.
