Nottingham Trent University
Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a public university in Nottingham, England. It was founded as a new university in 1992. It is the 17th largest university in the UK (out of 163) with 26,845 students split over three different campuses. In 2009 it was awarded the title of "the most environmentally friendly university in the UK", by The People & Planet Green League (the only independent ranking of British universities' environmental and ethical performance). Also since 2009, 100% of the university's electricity has been generated by renewable sources.
The University has three campuses- City, Clifton & Brackenhurst. It is a popular choice for Art & Design, Fashion, Journalism and Science & Technology. NTU also offers great employment prospects to students at all levels. 93% of our graduates and 91% of our postgraduates are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving (according to DLHE undergraduate and postgraduate survey results 2011-12).
NTU offers great student support, especially to international students. It has a dedicated International Student Support Service which assists with issues like Visas & Immigration, employment Regulations and Settling into like in the UK, among others. It has been named the winner of the ‘Outstanding Support for Students’ category at the prestigious Times Higher Education Awards 2014.
NTU is in the top three English universities for Work Placements as part of ‘sandwich’ degrees (HESA 2013/14). In addition Nottingham Trent also offers a variety of scholarships and funding options both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
